Kobe Bean Bryant (August 23, 1978 – January 26, 2020) was an American professional basketball player, Humanitarian, silent activist, and business man. The greatest shooting guard in NBA history, spending his entire 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He brought his state 5 championships as well as being the only NBA player to win an Oscar in 2018 for Best Animated Short film. This was two years after his retirement from the Los Angeles Lakers. He brought home a golden statue for his contribution as executive producer to the animated short film, “Dear Basketball,” which was based on a poem he wrote about his retirement. Kobe was truly the greatest Basketball player in human history.
