Markeidric’s Black History Month is an annual collection of paintings created by Markeidric with his non dominant hand (Left) giving the portraits a child like aesthetic. This aesthetic brings joy to the cyclical tragedies of the black experience. As souls we all become children, and most of us remain that childlike spiritual form that our happiness depends on. This spirit inhabits the creations we spawn. Markeidrics goal is to strike a spirit in the viewer to go delve deeper into their culture, history, and greatness. We are our past, and our past is our present to determine our future. And the future is molded by Greatness.

This series exemplifies Markeidrics illustrative abstracted brushwork with a foundation of portrait painting in academia. An annual series that started in 2014 stretching across the southern region of the United states. Also seen on clothing merchandise in boutiques. This collection is set to be a part of Markeidrics American History Collection.
